Next Pathway’s President, Clara Angotti, had the pleasure of speaking at the RBC Women in Data event today on the topic of “Data for Social Good."
Clara was joined by other panelists that provided their insights on the impact that data has on social change, the role of the data scientist, and the latest research and best practices for using data for good.
The event focused on three main themes:
-To educate all participants — regardless of gender — about the latest research and state-of-the-art technologies, challenges, and future trends involving data for social change.
-To inspire women about exciting areas of research and application in the data industry, women role models, and the abundance of opportunities in the field
-To support women in the field of data science — whether as practitioners in industry or researchers and educators in academia — helping them to gain exposure for their work, increase networking connections, and further their efforts in the field.
