On August 4, 2022 we announced a global partnership with Microsoft. Our partnership will avail our full suite of cloud automation migration tools to Microsoft customers, including Crawler360 and the SHIFT Migration Suite. Together, we provide Microsoft customers with the confidence to migrate complex workloads in their entirety, to Azure. There are 3 key reasons for my excitement about this partnership.
Reason 1 – Combining “Best of Breed” Migration Tooling with the power of the Azure cloud platform equates to Value for Customers
The Microsoft Azure platform provides unparalleled flexibility, scalability, and security. Next Pathway focuses exclusively on building products that automate the end-to-end challenges companies experience when migrating workloads to Azure. Our partnership serves the best interests of companies wanting to ignite digital transformation on the cloud and perform robust analytics. When best of breed company’s team up to solve a common goal; in this case, working together to make the migration path seamless and fast, customers win.
Reason 2 – The Partnership Allows both Companies to Enhance their Development
Working in partnership with Microsoft allows both of our companies to share best practices and to enhance our research and development efforts in a cooperative and synergistic manner. Together, Next Pathway and Microsoft can offer customers an accelerated migration path from a wide variety of legacy systems, such as Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, SQL Server, DB2 and Oracle. Moreover, we have the capability to translate and migrate legacy ETL pipelines such as DataStage, Informatica and SSIS to Azure Data Factory (ADF). As both companies work cooperatively to migrate customers, we will continue to enhance our respective tools and platform. The broad scope of our migration coverage and our dedication to continuously innovate and improve our coverage will provide customers with the confidence that we can move them entirely from virtually any legacy platform to Azure.
Reason 3 – Together we are Solving the Biggest Challenges to Moving to the Cloud
In our recent Cloud Migration Survey, conducted in February 2022 with over 1,200 IT Leaders across North America, most agreed that the common challenge to moving workloads to the cloud was the lack of automation tooling. Automation tooling not only expedites the cloud migration initiative, but it also ensures a higher level of consistency and quality in the overall migration. In fact, on average, our customers (that use our tools Crawler360 and SHIFT) experience an acceleration of 60% over manual methods. This translates to savings and the ability to turn-on digital transformation faster.
