Clara Angotti, Winner in Top 100 Most Powerful Women

TORONTO, November 22 /CNW/ -  Clara Angotti, President and Founder of Next Pathway Inc., has been named a recipient of the prestigious Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award by the Women's Executive Network. She received her award in the "Entrepreneur" category.  This is the second time Clara has been recognized as a Top 100 Award Winner; Clara received this award previously in 2011.

The list of Top 100 Winners was released today, paying tribute to the outstanding women across Canada who have advocated for diversity in the workforce, and who serve as an inspiration for the next generation of leaders.

“We are celebrating 100 of Canada’s highest achieving women in diverse fields,” said Sherri Stevens, CEO of WXN.

“All 100 are role models for the generations who will follow – which is why it’s very important to recognize and celebrate their great achievements,” Mrs. Stevens concluded.

“I am honoured to be included amongst this impressive group of professional women.  Awards like this are proof that there is an abundance of women that are not only powerful, but accomplished, resilient and are succeeding in industry today.   The time is right for Canada to stand proudly behind the achievements of professional women everywhere.  I founded Next Pathway with the guiding principle to build innovative global technology solutions using Canadian talent on Canadian soil.” said Clara Angotti.

Clara is not only a strong advocate and role model for female entrepreneurs, but she is also a community leader.  Clara is a current member of the board of trustees for The Hospital for Sick Children. She and her husband, Chetan Mathur, have established a foundation to provide paediatric care to children and support to the families of the Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Hawaii.

To mark this year’s awards, WXN is hosting an Awards Gala on November 22nd at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. More than 1400 senior professionals will attend.
