Next Pathway Report: Majority of IT Leaders See Increasing Demand for Cloud Migration

A new study by Next Pathway has found that at least 78 percent of information technology leaders report a rise in demand for migrating enterprise workloads to the cloud as companies seek to generate revenue streams through digital transformation efforts.

"Next Pathway surveyed approximately 1,200 IT decision-makers and professionals in February and found that only about 34 percent of respondents said their organizations have completed cloud migrations.

Cloud services that hold a notable share of the public cloud market are Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform.

Nearly 50 percent of respondents said moving existing applications to the cloud is one of the services they want cloud service providers to offer, according to Next Pathway’s report titled The State of Enterprise Cloud Migrations.

Other services cited by respondents are multicloud strategies, increased storage capacity, a robust partner ecosystem and industry-specific platforms."
