Cornerstone employs a self-service model that allows data producers to automatically ingest data into an Enterprise Data Lake (EDL). Data consumers can then leverage the platform's capabilities to perform exploratory analytics and modeling on EDL data sets as well as external data.
Cornerstone’s ingestion framework enables data producers to specify metadata from a standardized metadata model. The framework then automatically ingests this data into the EDL, without having to manually develop an ingestion workflow for each feed. Cornerstone can process multiple files in parallel; allowing users to ingest thousands of files in a matter of a few hours.
